Hello, my name is Kael Earl, and this is my ninth year in 4-H. I participated as a cleaver for two years with a mature doe project, and the other seven have all been in market steer. My steer's name is Ice Spice and is a Charolais cross that I got from my dad's and grandpa's family herd. We raise both Charolais and Red Angus. He is getting a mixed ration of oats, barley, peas, hay, silage, and ruminson. My favorite thing about my steer is his frame and how quickly he was halter broken. From the start, he was a friendlier steer and has become better since then. My favorite part of the 4-H year is the final show and sale Achievement Day. Showing and selling my calf has been the best part of the year since I started to participate in market steer.
