My name is Miriam Hotte.  I live on a farm with three siblings.  I am 11 years old and this is my third year in 4-H.  I have a steer this year and his name is Meatball.  He is a Purebred Polled Hereford, from Spring Mountain Stock Farm, ran by my Great Aunt & Uncle.  Meatball is a really nice calf but he doesn't like it when I touch his belly.  I have worked with him quite a bit.  I am hoping that he will be 1,100 lbs by the end of the 4-H year.  One of my hobbies is playing sports.  I also enjoy knitting, crocheting, reading, painting, and doing puzzles.  I want to be a grain farmer when I grow up.
